Dr. Vafa
Lightfoot
Born and raised in Barrie, Dr. Vafa Lightfoot graduated from Eastview Secondary in 2006. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph and was accepted into the Dentistry program at University College Cork in Ireland. Dr. Vafa came back to his hometown and has been practicing here since 2017.
Outside the office, Dr. Vafa enjoys adventures with is wife and daughter exploring what the local area has to offer. Nature hikes followed by a local farmer’s market or cafe is always a great way to spend time off.
Dr. Annie
Bolland
Dr Annie is a graduate of LavaI University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Dentistry from Barry University (Florida 1989). She received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry / ‘Doctorat en Médecine Dentaire’ in 1993. Dr Annie went through university as a member of the Canadian Forces. Upon graduation, she was promoted to the rank of Captain and posted to CFB Borden. She retired from the military and purchased Bayfield Dental in 1999. Bayfield Dental has been providing comprehensive dental care to families in Barrie for 3 generations. Apart from operating a very busy dental practise and continually maintaining her dental education, Dr Annie enjoys skiing, gardening and sailing. She has participated in several international sailing regattas with her husband and son.
Denise
Pilote
Denise has been working in the dental field most of her working career. She has a passion for dog agility that lead her to competing at top level events and travelling with her dog in Canada, United States and Europe. She also loves spending time with her grandchildren, enjoys biking and camping with her husband.
Candace
Nicholson
Candace is a dental assistant who recently moved from PEI to Barrie. She graduated from UPEI in 2013 with a degree in Psychology, and later went back to school in 2021 to pursue level II Dental Assisting at Holland College. Outside of work she enjoys reading, painting, and spending time outdoors with her young family.
Suparna
Basak
Suparna was born in Bangladesh and moved to Canada in 2015. She completed the Intra-Oral Dental Assisting level 1 & 2 Program from Oxford College at Barrie. She has been working at Bayfield Dental for 3 years as a dental assistant.
She loves traveling, vacation and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
